How to become a Biologist
For the most part, biologists spend their lives studying one specific thing. Many biologists have a general degree in biology, then choose to specialize in fields like zoology, botany, ecology, microbiology, anthropology, biochemistry, or molecular biology.
In order to work in applied research or for teaching at the high school level, most employers prefer biologists with a master's degree. Those wanting to conduct independent research or teach at a university level need to have a doctoral degree.
