How to become a Performer

Performers generally need to audition in order to get into a Fine Arts degree program. Typical courses include voice, movement, performance techniques, theory and theatre history. Not all performers get a Fine Arts degree, but most receive some type of formal training since formal training will enhance a performer's skills and will give them increased opportunities for experience.
